Hejira is a world fusion music duo featuring Karl Miranda on hand percussion, congas, Native American flutes, guitar and didgeridoo, and Rick de Yampert on sitar, Native American flutes, djembe (African hand drum), percussion and guitar.

Hejira is an Arabic word for “flight” or “journey,” specifically one to a more peaceful or spiritual place.

Hejira has performed at the Bandshell and at wine tastings in the Daytona Beach, Florida, area, and the duo frequently performs at nia sessions (nia is a form of energetic movement that combines yoga, dancing and exercise).
